Homeowners Succeed in Stopping Neighbour from Overdeveloping Property

Our clients were homeowners who were surprised to learn of their neighbours’ plan to erect a large and unsightly structure in their rear yard.

We filed an appeal at the Ontario Municipal Board and were successful in preventing the neighbour’s proposed development on the grounds that it was not compatible with the zoning by-laws, and with the official plan. We stopped the proposed development within 2 months of being retained.
